Mobius Renewables is set to acquire a portfolio of biogas production sites from Air Liquide. The sites, spread across France, Norway, Sweden and the United States were purchased for an undisclosed amount. The transaction also includes a 51% interest in Redo Biosolutions, a Norwegian waste-to-energy technology company.

Mobius is owned by Australian fund manager IFM Investors. In December 2025, IFM established Mobius as a vertically integrated low carbon fuels platform with a view to commercialise biogas production across North America and Europe. The latest transaction expands IFM’s footprint in low carbon fuels.

Air Liquide is due to host its annual general meeting this afternoon in Paris. Ahead of the AGM, the group announced the completion of its 2022 – 2025 sustainability strategy. In a statement, the group said its strategy included a push to bring decarbonisation technologies to commercial scale alongside reducing Air Liquide’s emissions intensity.
