The transaction involves a French onshore wind portfolio with operational and construction-stage assets. Octopus Energy’s Sky fund will acquire the portfolio, in a transaction structured through two share purchase agreements signed in February 2026. “This transaction reflects our ability to originate, develop and realise value from high-quality renewable assets across Europe”, commented Impax Asset Management’s associate director for private equity and infrastructure Mathias Dernouny.
The sale is structured through the Impax New Energy Investors III, a pan-European renewables fund. Energiter, the fund’s French development platform developed and constructed majority of the wind farms being sold.
“By working closely with our partner Energiter, we have been able to optimise this portfolio through construction and repowering, positioning it well for its long-term ownership. We are pleased to complete this sale to Octopus Energy Generation, a highly experienced investor, and to deliver another successful exit”, Dernouny adds. The transaction, which is partially completed, is expected to close once a repowering project within the portfolio reaches commercial operation by Q4 2026.
