Intermediate Capital Group’s infrastructure fund acquires British Solar Renewables

Asset management company Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) has announced that its infrastructure fund (ICG Infra) has acquired British Solar Renewables (BSR), a UK-based integrated solar developer. According to ICG, BSR is one of the pioneers of solar photovoltaic development in the UK and, since 2011, the company has built and operated 1GW of energy storage plants. ICG’s partnership with BSR includes an objective to transform BSR into an integrated power producer with 1.5GW of renewable capacity by 2027. Guillaume d’Engremont, head of infrastructure at ICG, said: “Access to renewable energy is an important component of global climate efforts, and we are delighted to partner with BSR, providing capital to fund new solar projects, as we continue towards the fund’s goal of investing in sustainable European infrastructure.”
