Samantha Chew has joined UK firm Aviva as Group environment policy engagement lead, where she will be responsible for the group's climate and nature policies across the group's investment and insurance operations.
She joins from Aegon, where she spent the best part of three years as stewardship lead, where she was tasked among others with operationalising the firm's net zero promise and working closely with workplace investment strategy and manager oversight functions to ensure ESG factors were fully integrated in Aegon’s investment proposition. She is also a member of the Net Zero Investor Editorial Steering Committee.
Prior to that, she spent nearly seven years at Ernst & Young, most recently as manager climate change and sustainable finance. She is also a member of IIGCC's Asset Owner Net Zero Stewardship Working Group.
