UK start-up Compass Insights launches ESG platform
UK start-up Compass Insights has officially launched its platform, a new software designed to help asset owners integrate their investment and stewardship efforts.
The platform was developed by Gustave Loriot-Boserup, a former responsible investment manager at London CIV, alongside his brother Gaspard Loriot-Boserup. It aims to centralise ESG data management and analysis, offering scalable tools to streamline fund monitoring, stewardship, and reporting.
By automating key processes, Compass seeks to enhance responsible investment teams’ ability to drive sustainability initiatives—monitoring breaches, standardising reporting procedures, and eliminating silos between different data sources. The tool could also help asset owners track how closely their stewardship practices align with those of their managers.
Co-founder and CEO Gustave Loriot-Boserup described the platform as a “next-generation responsible investment operating system,” designed to address challenges such as data management bottlenecks and limited transparency in stewardship outcomes.
Currently running a pilot with one of the UK’s largest Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) funds, Compass Insights has received backing from Engine, Sustainable Ventures, Imperial Enterprise Lab, and the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub. It has also been recognised as one of the most innovative ESG tech firms by Fintech Global. The company also plans to introduce AI-powered capabilities to further automate ESG analysis and decision-making.
