The Tracker Group, home to Carbon Tracker and Planet Tracker, has appointed Christine Chow as its chief executive officer (CEO).
Chow’s appointment follows the decision to bring Carbon Tracker and Planet Tracker under a single leadership team after the departure of their respective CEOs, Jon Grayson and Robin Millington, in October.
Carbon Tracker and Planet Tracker are independent financial think tanks, with the former being founded to accelerate investor and regulatory support for the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy.
Prior to her appointment at the Tracker Group, Chow held global executive leadership roles at UBS, Credit Suisse, HSBC, Schroders, and Federated Hermes.
In addition to her role as CEO of the Tracker Group, Chow serves as board chair of the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN), an organisation led by investors responsible for assets under management of around $77trn. She is also an honorary adviser to the Accounting and Financial Reporting Council (AFRC) in Hong Kong, the independent regulator of the accounting profession.
On her appointment, Chow said: "Carbon Tracker and Planet Tracker are changemakers and are well respected for producing insightful and actionable research on climate change and nature. I look forward to driving the next phase of development at the Tracker Group to enable investors and policymakers to take action."
